Ranchi, April 16: Jharkhand High Court disposed of a public interest litigation filed for improvement of the condition of state and national highways in the state. The court apparently being satisfied with the report furnished by the state said that good work had been done to improve the condition of roads in the state and the progress was satisfactory.
Petitions rejected
The court today dismissed a petition filed to challenge the appointment of Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission member P.C. Verma. The appointment was challenged by petitioner Bishwanath Prasad Singh, declaring that Verma was unqualified for the job.
Another petition filed by the Jharkhand National Eligibility Test and Bihar Eligibility Test associations, challenging the result published by Jharkhand Public Service Commission was dismissed today.
