New Delhi: Justice Rajendra Mal Lodha of the Rajasthan High Court has been appointed Chief Justice of the Patna High Court.
After graduating in Law from the Jodhpur University Lodha started practice at Jodhpur before shifting to Jaipur in 1977.
Lodha was the central government standing counsel in charge of entire litigation of Union of India at Jaipur Bench of the Rajasthan High Court from June 15, 1990 to March 9, 1992.
He argued many important cases on behalf of number of government bodies, semi-government bodies, public authorities like the Rajasthan State Industrial and Investment Development Corporation, Rajasthan Text Book Board, Rajasthan Agricultural Marketing Board, Bharatpur Central Co-operative Bank and New India Assurance Company.
He also served as a member of committee set up by Rajasthan High Court to suggest amendments in Rajasthan Rent Control Act, 1950.
Lodha became the permanent judge of the Rajasthan High Court at Jodhpur on January 31, 1994 and was later transferred to the Bombay High Court.—iGovernment Bureau
