Bangalore, March 15: Lokayukta has decided to move the High Court seeking cancellation of bail granted by a lower court in Mysore to Chamarajnagar Superintendent of Police Srikantappa who was trapped while accepting bribe, Lokayukta sources said."We are planning to move the High Court for cancellation of the bail granted to Srikantappa", Lokayukta Santhosh Hegde told reporters here.The Lokayukta police have searched the residence of the official at Mysore and Chamarajnagar, he said, adding the quantum of assets seized during the raids was, howeve,r being assessed.According to preliminary investigation, Srikantappa owned two residential sites and a farm house, besides bank lockers and deposits, he said.Lokayukta police had received a complaint from a mines owner Farooq that Srikantappa was demanding Rs 50,000 as bribe to give permission to him for transporting sand, the sources said, adding the official was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe.
