Bombay high court will get eight new judges, taking the strength of the bench to 61.
Though the formal warrants for the new judges are awaited, according to sources, those whose names have been cleared include city civil and sessions court principal judge AP Bhangale, family court principal judge AV Nirgude, judges RY Ghanoo, KU Chandiwal and ND Deshpande.
The first lady registrar-general of the HC, RP Sondur-Baldota, is also likely to be elevated and two senior lawyers, one from Mumbai and the other from Aurangabad.
