New Delhi, April 28: The noose around controversial Congress MP M K Subba appears to be tightening as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday informed the Supreme Court that the birth certificate and other details submitted by Subba are fakes. Based on its investigation, the CBI in its report to the apex court said that the details and the birth related information furnished by MK Subba to the Election Commission are not genuine and appear to be forged. The Supreme Court has now issued a notice giving six-weeks to Subba to clarify his stand on the issue. The matter came to light when a leading television news channel reported that Congress party MP M K Subba was not Indian. The channel also revealed that the lawmaker has concealed his identity that he was a citizen of Nepal. Subba represents Tejpur Lok Sabha constituency of Assam.
