Chennai, April 30: Madras High Court has announced summer vacation for 39 days from May one till June 8 (both days inclusive).
Justices G Rajasuria, T Sudanthiram and M Sathyanarayanan will be the vacation judges for the first part of the holidays up to May 18.
Mr Justice Rajasuria and Mr Justice Sathyanarayanan will first sit on a Division Bench for disposal of urgent bench matters. After bench work the judges will sit single.
While Mr Justice Rajasuria will take up writ petitions and general miscellaneous, Mr Justice Sudanthiram will look after criminal matters and bail petitions. Justice Sathyanarayanan will deal with writ petition relating to labour, service and other matters.
Justices K Venkataraman, M Venugopal and Sathyanarayanan will be the vacation judges for the second part of holidays ending June 1.
Justices A C Arumugaperumal Adityan, Rajasuria and S Nagamuthu will be the vacation judges for the third and final part ending June 8.
The dates for filing petition are May 2,5,9,12,16,19,23,26,30 and June 2. The Judges will sit on May 6,13,20,27, and June 3.
The Sessions Courts also declared summer holidays from May 1 to June 1.
