SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh High Court on Wednesday disposed of public interest litigation (PIL) paving the way for execution of $ 300 million Himalayan Ski Village (HSV) project. Environmentalists opposing the project had moved the court that a high-altitude ski resort would damage the environment and harm places in Kullu valley. The HSV project was cleared by the previous Congress government but the present government citing security concerns was looking for a thorough review of allotting such a project, close to an international project. Following clearance, HSV MD said, the company would work for early completion of the project.
