LUCKNOW: Justice Tarun Agrawal of the Lucknow bench of the high court has imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on state public works department engineer-in-chief Tribhuwan Ram for non-compliance of its order. Requiring the official to deposit the amount by May 5 in favour of the registrar of the high court, he directed the registrar to credit the sum for the use of the mediation and reconciliation centre. The order was passed on a contempt petition moved by Ravindra Kumar Gupta, who contended that despite the court having directed Ram on August 16, 2007 to conclude the disciplinary proceedings pending against him, within four months, but the order has not been complied with.
