Lawyers to join court work

BERHAMPUR: The Ganjam Bar Association (GBA) has decided to end the ceasework demanding establishment of High Court bench after more than five months.At a meeting on Tuesday the GBA took the decision to join court work from May 13, but decided to continue the agitation till their demands are met.The GBA decided to boycott works on last four days of every month unlike their counterpart in Sambalpur. After the meeting, a group of advocates intimated the decision to the district court.Meanwhile, as per the directive of the High Court, S N Rath, president of GBA, has sent an affidavit regarding the agitation of the bar association to the High Court.The High Court had asked the president of the GBA to file the affidavit by May 6 and appear before the High Court in person on May 12 during hearing of a PIL related to the agitation of lawyers.
