The Women’s Reservation Bill has been tabled in Parliament for the sixth time. There have been voices that have supported, as well as opposed the act, for it has the capacity to transform the face of Indian Parliament, or say, the polity.The Netizens at NDTV.com have, as always, reached out and spoken on the issue. The voices have evoked a massive debate.There is one section, which has stood by the tabling of the bill that is supposed to empower women. They have even called for bold and strong steps by the government for immediate passage of the bill.“People in Parliament should take steps and be brave in the implementation of such a good act as the Women’s Reservation Bill, which is surely going to be fruitful in the upcoming years for the empowerment of women and the consequent development of the country,” says Vijaya, an NDTV Netizen.However, some have spoken against the bill and have opined that it would have adverse effect on the system.“What is the need for 33% reservation for women?
