CUTTACK:In A fresh twist to judo coach Biranchi Das’ murder case, a public interest litigation (PIL) was filed in the Orissa HC seeking directions to the police to arrest senior bureaucrat Priyabrata Patnaik.The petitioner, one Manas Ranjan Sahoo of Nuapada in Dhankanal district, said that the statement of Chagala, an accomplice of prime accused and still absconding Raja Acharya, clearly pointed to Patnaik’s involvement in the killing. Chagala has stated that Raja had met Patnaik on the day of the murder and thus the bureaucrat’s complicity in the crime cannot be ignored, Sahoo said.
