Kochi, May 24: The Kerala High Court on Friday upheld the verdict of the single judge that members of SC, ST and OBC are entitled to be considered for appointment under merit quota and if any candidate belonging to those communities is appointed in the merit quota, the number of seat reserved for the said communities shall not be affected by the same. The judgement was delivered by a division bench consisting of Justice K Balakrishnan Nair and Justice P N Ravindran dismissing appeal filed by the PSC against the verdict of single judge.
