Mumbai: Students who appeared for the Medical and Engineering Common Entrance Test (CET) this year, have filed petitions with the Bombay High Court seeking a re-examination.
Students complained that they were handed the question papers late but their answer sheets were collected by the invigilator five minutes before the final bell went off.
Students approached the Bombay High Court on Wednesday and filed three different petitions seeking a re-examination and complained lack of sufficient time provided to them for answering the examination.
They have demanded that if a re-exam is not conducted then they should be provided compensation in the form of grace marks.
A High Court bench comprising of Justice S.B. Mhase and A.A. Kumbhakoni has urged the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) to file its reply to the petition latest by 16th June, 2008.
The CET was conducted on 8th May, 2008 at the Wilson College, RD National College, RN Ruia College, and Mithibai Junior College of Arts.
Several students also complained that they were given wrong question papers.
"The ten minutes we lost during the examination, may cost us 20 marks in the examination", a student said.
