New Delhi (PTI): In view of order of the Delhi High Court directing AIIMS to allow a group of SC and ST doctors to participate in the counselling for Masters degree programme, the institute has issued a list of 143 students to appear in the second round of admission process.
The counselling will be held from April 22 to May eight this year.
These students were marked absent in the counselling when they reached at Institute on March 11 and they were informed that first round was over it was over. They were not allowed to appear in the second round.
The students then had approached the Delhi High Court seeking its intervention.
Directing the All India Institute of Medical Science and the Union Health Ministry to give wide publicity about the second round of counselling on April 22, Justice Gita Mittal had said "issue public notices setting out the names, full particulars and merit ranks of the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates who have been marked as absent on the date prior to date on which they are required to appear."
